Application for S1 Places in Academic Year 2025-2026

  1. Application Requirements
    Minimum requirements of S.1 application:
    • Outstanding scholastic achievements (grade B (incl. B-/B+) or above in English, Chinese, Mathematics & General Studies); and
    • Grade B or above in conduct in the second term in Primary Four as well as all terms in Primary Five.
    • Good comments from class teacher/ subject teachers.
    Applicants who fail to meet the application requirements will not be invited to admission interviews. The school reserves every right to grant admission interviews to applicants.

  3. Application Procedures
    • Complete this online application form
    • Upload report cards and other supporting documents (Primary Four – final term and Primary Five – all terms)
    • Pay an application fee of HKD$75 via PayPal or Visa/Mastercard
    • The submission must be completed no later than 30th November 2024

  4. Selection Criteria
    All applicants meeting our minimum requirements will be invited for the interview. Details of the interview will be sent to applicants by email

  5. Interview Dates
    Saturday, 18th January 2025. (Fallback date: Sunday, 19th January 2025)

  6. Release of Results
    All applicants shall be notified by email in March 2025.

  7. Registration
    Successful applicants shall register with the College by paying the registration fee HKD$1,180. Parents have to sign an undertaking and submit their children’s “Primary 6 Student Record Form” to the school.

  8. Annual School Fee
    The annual school fee for the academic year 2025-2026 is HKD$25,300.

  9. Grant and Scholarship
    Financial assistance is available to needy students. Scholarship will be offered to students with outstanding performance in scholastic and/or other areas.

  10. S.1 Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program
    The College has been implementing "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) measure at S1 since 2023-2024 academic year. This measure will allow our students to bring and use their own iPads during lessons under the management by subject teachers, which will enhance their learning experience and promote technology integration. Students can also conveniently use their own iPads for self-directed learning as well as collaborative learning with their peers both inside and outside the classroom.

    All personal information provided will only be used for admission related purposes and will be treated in strict confidence. None of this information will be disclosed without your consent. Upon completion of the admission procedure, the information will be destroyed.


Financial Support to Students

Ying Wa College is dedicated to the provision of quality education to all. We believe that no one should be deprived of the opportunity to study in Ying Wa due to financial reasons. We thus have a policy to offer financial support to needy students.
Ten percent of the school fee income will be reserved for Grant & Scholarship for students.

A. School Fee Remission
Full Grant --- Students receiving CSSA or receiving full subsidy from WFSFAA
Half Grant --- Students receiving half subsidy from WFSFAA

Students must apply for the grant in September and the Scholarship & Grant Committee will be responsible for making the final decision.

B. Ying Wa Scholarships
Students with outstanding performance in academic results, art, music, sports and other areas may be nominated for the Ying Wa scholarships. The Scholarship & Grant Committee will make the final decision. Student’s academic results and conduct will be taken into consideration. The scholarship will be awarded to the successful students in September next year.
